I used to like cold weather. I remember playing in the snow as a kid. It was fun.
I hate cold weather now. I have lost all my cold tolerance. I hate the feeling of not being warm.
Now here's another sucky thing about cold weather. Long sleeve shirts. I don't like them. They are not comfortable. But the worst part about wearing long sleeve shirts is washing your hands. Ya, whenever you wash your hands in a long sleeve shirt the water splashes and gets the cuff wet. Then you walk around with a cold wet cuff for an hour. It makes being cold even worse.
Foooey.

High School Homecoming
Just needed to stop by and let everyone know that MUMS ARE STOOPID.
I mean, I'm okay with homecoming, its fun. I understand the need to add some festivities above and beyond the normal. But seriously folks, huge, really expensive flowers and ribbons to wear for a few hours? O and then lets hang them on our walls to remember the date that we don't even talk to anymore.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!

Weddings and football
Just about everybody knows that this is opening weekend for college football. I have a chance to watch both of my favorite college teams play this Saturday. But what do I have to do? Go to a stinkin' wedding. Crap.
Don't get me wrong. Weddings are important. I'm all for families. But what kind of an idiot would get married on the opening day of college football season? This guy needs his man card revoked. The only redeeming thing is knowing that for the rest of his life, he doesn't get to watch opening weekend because he'll be too busy celebrating his anniversary. Ha. Serves him right.

Parents, take a chill pill
So yesterday I saw a father playing catch with his son. Nice. A few minutes later I came back by and the dad was putting the boy through agility drills in preparation for the upcoming football season. Jeepers, give me a break! The kid is only 9 years old and football is a couple months away. Honestly, let the kid be a kid. Let sports be something fun. Parents are not their kid's buddies, but neither should they be slave drivers.

End times
Okay, listen up, contrary to what someone tried to tell me today, the fact that Rondald Wilson Reagan has six letters in each of his names and that he was wounded does not make him the Antichrist. First, he's not from the middle east. Second, he believed and confessed that Jesus was God incnarnate who died for our sins and rose again. Third, in the Bible, the Antichrist's wound was fatal, Reagan's shooting was not. More evidence is available but I'm in a hurry. Just thought you all needed to know.

Self restraint
I like Facebook. There are some funny and educational posts just about every day. Its interesting, though, how often I read someone's Facebook status and the comment that pops into my head is, "You're and idiot! You're an idiot and your making it worse by making that statement to the rest of the world."
By the grace of God I have managed to restrain myself thus far from every actually writing that comment. I know it would fly in the face of social convention and probably hurt some feelings. On the other hand, do we have some kind of responsibility to let people know that they're being an idiot? Maybe then they would learn how not to be one?
Oh well, I'll leave that to people with more tact. Meanwhile, puuleeez think before you write stupid things on Facebook.

Fundraisers
I'm sick of fundraisers. I'm sick of other kids wanting me to buy their stuff. I'm sick of my kids wanting me to buy their stuff. I'm sick of sending my kids to ask other people to buy their stuff.
Why don't we just learn to make due with what we've got? By "we" I mean our schools, bands, soccer teams, baseball teams, glee clubs, Spanish clubs, French clubs, PTAs, church groups, football teams, PACs, universities, alumni associations, and everyone else who wants to raise money because they think they need more stuff. Live with what we've got or just ask people to give us the money or the extra stuff. There's no point spending five dollars for a one dollar candy bar so some organization can have more money.

Soda price gouging
Don't you hate what they charge you at restaurants for coke (that's the generic word for carbonated soft drinks- - what yankees call pop)?
Its highway robbery. They charge you $1.79 or whatever for a glass of soda that costs them a few cents. Uggggh! What a waste.
What's the solution? Quit paying the price! If nobody buys the drinks at their exorbitantly high prices, they will have to lower the prices. Wouldn't that be nice. Come on people, quit letting the food industry treat you like an idiot. Boycott over-priced drink when you eat out.

Tatoos
I hate tatoos. I have yet to see one that was attractive. Skin is nice the way God made it, why mess it up with all that garbage?
Who's idea was it anyway? I know that in ancient times they used tatoos kind of like cattle brands for a slave owner to identify who belonged to him. But nowadays? Seriously, someone had to be stoned out of thier gourd to think, "Hey, lets get some needles and scratch permanent ink into our integument." What a stupid idea.
So we've gone from slave ID to "artistic expression". And we're supposed to be evolving? Crikeee! I know that if you want to write all over yourself you have a perfect right to do so. And you have a right to think its attractive. But, IMHO, you're wrong, cover them up;-)

First Rant
So this is my anonymous blog where I say tacky things. See I get fed up with things sometimes and would like to express that. But I'm kind of in a sensitive position and don't really have the liberty of offending a lot of people in my world. Here, therefore, I'll say what I want and it might come across as rude and opinionated. O well.
If any posts offend you, maybe you should ask yourself why? If one strikes a cord with you, we can enjoy a little venting together.
So what am I griping about today? Duh, this whole health care reform thing. Its bad enough that the liberal democrats want to take us down the road to socialism. Its bad enough that they are pulling so many uncouth maneuvers to get their way. Its bad enough that they think the government can run health care better than the private sector. But what REALLY annoys the snot out of me is that there are around 20 or 30 million Americans that actually want this!
What is wrong with you people? Its a stupid idea practically speaking. And its a stupid idea philosophically speaking. Seriously, letting the government take over such a vital industry. Putting government bureaucrats in charge of such a high tech field that requires advanced & specialized training and which directly affects individuals in a life or death manner is absolutely ridiculous.
Call your representative right now and tell him/her to vote NO on health care reform.
